We are currently seeking a Clinical Assessor to join our Iowa Clinical Department. Key Responsibilities

  • Adheres to the CareStar Rule in performance of job responsibilities.

  • Understands and complies with CareStar Policies and Procedures.

  • Maintains confidentiality as related to patient information. Any disclosures of confidential information made unlawfully outside the proper course of duty will be treated as a serious disciplinary offence.

  • Follows the Acceptable Use Policy while using any information systems owned or controlled by CareStar.

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and/or reassessments within required timelines.

  • Ensure assessments are completed accurately, thoroughly, and in compliance with program rules and standardized assessment protocols.

  • Document assessment findings in required systems and maintain complete and timely records.

  • Communicate with members, caregivers, providers, MCOs, case managers, and agency staff as needed.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Current and active license as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Independent Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Psychologist.

  • Experience in assessment, care coordination, long-term services and supports, or related clinical settings preferred.

  • Effective organizational, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.

  • Effective computer skills with familiarity with suite of Microsoft Office programs.

  • Reliable transportation to travel within assigned region as business requires.

  • Valid driver’s license and car insurance as required by State law.
