Summary
The Entiat School District is seeking dedicated and adaptable individuals to serve as Substitute Teachers. In this role, you will provide instructional support and maintain a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You will be responsible for delivering lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring that students remain engaged and productive. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and have a desire to positively impact the lives of students.

Responsibilities
- Implement lesson plans as outlined by regular teacher, complete any required paperwork and report on student progress and behavior to the regular teacher.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Engage students in learning activities and encourage participation.
- Provide support to students with diverse learning needs and adapt instruction as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration during the assignment.

Requirements
- Valid Washington State teaching certification or substitute teaching certificate.
- Cleared fingerprints from the Washington State Patrol and FBI must be on file with OSPI. To make a fingerprint appointment, go to: ncesd.org/services/fingerprinting-services/ *The cost of the fingerprinting service is the responsibility of the substitute.
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred.
- Follow district policies and procedures.

Pay
For the 2025-26 school year: Certificated Substitutes are paid $180.00 for a full day, or $90.00 for a half day.

This position does not qualify for health insurance or paid leave benefits.

Substitute Teachers are employed at will. An active listing in our substitute system does not guarantee an assignment. If a reasonable amount of assignments are not worked in a school year the substitute may be inactivated with or without notice. A signed Reasonable Assurance must be on file with the district for each school year before a substitute will be active in the substitute system.
