Nestled just outside the Great Smoky Mountains, around 30 miles North of Knoxville, in a small, quaint, beautiful town, called Andersonville, sits Norris Academy, a residential treatment facility that offers comprehensive, holistic services to youth with autism spectrum disorders, and/or other neurodevelopmental diagnosis.
Compensation Range: Starting at $17 an hour.

What will you do:
- Be the face of Norris Academy by being the first person of contact for all visitors.
- Answer business phone with professionalism, take messages, transfer calls to the appropriate department.
- Follow PPI and HIPAA laws and regulations.
- Assist HR department in pre-screening applications, scheduling pre-employment screening.
- Record Keeping/Expense Reports: Maintain accurate and organized records of invoices, payments, and related financial transactions.
- Data Entry: Accurately entering financial transactions, invoices, and other relevant data into the accounting system or spreadsheets.
- Filing and Documentation: Organizing and maintaining financial records and documentation in a systematic and secure manner.
- Lead Morale Committee and manage the monthly morale committee budget.
- Prepare internal and external communications, memos, and meeting minutes.
- Prioritize conflicting needs, handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follow through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
- Invoice/Receipt Processing: Receive, review, and process invoices from vendors and suppliers, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Purchase Order Matching: Verify invoices against orders and receiving documents to ensure that the goods or services were received as stated in the purchase order. Resolve discrepancies on cost and quantities on purchase orders.
- Payment Processing: Prepare and process payments, which may include checks, electronic transfers, and ACH transactions, while adhering to payment terms and schedules.
- Communication: Collaborating with other departments, such as purchasing and finance, and vendors to resolve inquiries and discrepancies related to financial transactions in a courteous and professional manner to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Organize meals for All Staff meetings and visitors when needed.
- Perform other job-related duties, as assigned.
To be considered, you should:
- Possess a High School Education or equivalent, bachelor's preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in fast-paced administrative role(s).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat
- Proven experience creating and managing content for social media platforms.
- Excellent written, verbal, and in-person communication and presentation skills including the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and external customers.
- Ability to operate with a high degree of discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships.
- Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with a strong attention to detail.
- Must be self-motivated and solution oriented with ability to thrive in a multi-task environment, while maintaining focus and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- If required to operate a company vehicle during the course of employment, must meet the requirements to be an eligible ROP driver. Must possess a current State Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years.
- Ability to pass a criminal background clearance, drug screen, physical and TB test.
