Summary:

ABC Supply, the nation’s largest distributor of select exterior and interior building products, is seeking a Product Manager – CRM to own and advance our Customer Relationship Management platform, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM. This role is responsible for translating portfolio strategy into execution, acting as the primary product owner and technical point of contact for the CRM platform, and ensuring Dynamics 365 delivers measurable value to sales, customer service, marketing, and operations teams.

Role Overview:

As a Product Manager – CRM, you will serve as the tactical executor of the CRM product vision set by the Product Portfolio Manager. You will own the Dynamics 365 backlog, drive prioritization decisions, and work closely with delivery, architecture, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and customer-centered CRM capabilities. This role requires hands-on experience implementing CRM solutions and the ability to serve as a trusted functional and technical leader for Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Key Responsibilities:

  • CRM Product Ownership & Roadmap
  • Own and maintain the CRM feature roadmap and execution backlog for Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Partner with the Director of Sales Transformation and other ABC Leadership to ensure CRM capabilities align with overall Sales Operation strategy and enterprise priorities.
  • Translate business objectives and customer outcomes into actionable CRM features and enhancements.

Dynamics 365 Platform Leadership

  • Serve as the primary functional and technical point of contact for Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.
  • Provide product leadership across core Dynamics modules, including Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, and Power Platform components.
  • Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to ensure solutions align to enterprise standards, integration patterns, and security requirements.

Product Discovery & Feature Backlog Management

  • Lead discovery efforts for the CRM platform to understand customer and business needs and translate them into well-defined product capabilities.
  • Partner closely with ABC Associates and external partners to explore problems, evaluate opportunities, and define solutions that deliver meaningful value.
  • Own and manage a prioritized CRM feature backlog that reflects business outcomes, customer impact, and platform sustainability.
  • Shape requirements at the feature and capability level, ensuring teams have clear goals, success criteria, and context while allowing flexibility in how solutions are implemented.
  • Continuously refine priorities based on feedback, learning, capacity, and impact.
  • Balance new functionality with platform health and long‑term scalability.
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders about priorities, tradeoffs, and progress, and work closely with delivery teams during execution to ensure released capabilities meet intended objectives

Product Development Optimization

  • Leverage delivery metrics such as throughput, cycle time, and work item age to improve predictability and efficiency.
  • Identify bottlenecks related to CRM customization, integrations, or data dependencies and drive resolution.

Vendor & Partner Collaboration

  • Work directly with CRM implementation partners on enhancements, upgrades, and roadmap planning.
  • Review partner designs and solutions to ensure quality, maintainability, and alignment with ABC standards.

Testing, Release & Adoption

  • Lead and support user acceptance testing (UAT) for CRM releases.
  • Partner with change management and training teams to support adoption and value realization.
  • Monitor post-release adoption, usage, and performance to inform future prioritization.

Data, Integrations & Insights

  • Partner with integration and data teams to ensure CRM data integrity, reporting, and downstream use.
  • Ensure CRM capabilities enable actionable insights that support customer engagement and seller effectiveness.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Stay informed on Microsoft Dynamics 365 roadmap updates and Power Platform innovations.
  • Recommend and drive enhancements that improve customer experience, sales productivity, and operational efficiency.

Essential Attributes, Skills & Experience

  • Product Management Experience - 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner supporting enterprise software or digital platforms.
  • CRM Platform Experience - Hands-on experience implementing or managing a CRM platform, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 strongly preferred. Experience serving as the functional and technical point of contact for a CRM solution.
  • Strong understanding of CRM concepts, data models, integrations, security roles, and workflows.
  • Ability to collaborate deeply with engineers, architects, and integration teams.
  • Proven experience managing backlogs and prioritization in an agile or flow-based environment.
  • Ability to use data, usage insights, and delivery metrics to inform prioritization and measure outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and business audiences.
  • Ability to influence without authority across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong ownership mindset, customer-first orientation, and commitment to continuous improvement.

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Experience supporting sales, service, or marketing organizations.
