Overview of Job Function:
Senior Paralegal is responsible to provide direct support to a U.S.-based Associate General Counsel by assisting with corporate governance, related contract administration, legal research, compliance documentation, and cross-border coordination, leveraging experience to manage complex tasks.
Responsibilities
Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and review of legal documents and regulatory filings, ensuring compliance and accuracy, including, as example with complex global legal entity secretarial reporting and filing requirements.
- Maintain compliance calendars, track deadlines, and support regulatory documentation.
- Assist with due diligence for transactions, organizing documents and preparing checklists.
- Lead complex legal research projects and provide strategic analysis.
- Develop, implement and manage organizational systems for legal documentation.
- Provide system administration for legal technologies subscribed to by the legal department.
- Serve as a liaison between internal business functions, the legal department, and external parties, maintaining professional relationships.
- Provide dispute management support, including internal reviews, mediation and discovery processes, and trial preparation.
- Implement efficient case management processes for complex legal matters.
- Contribute to the development and execution of legal strategies.
- Make informed decisions for effective task and matter management.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) or Paralegal Certification.
- 5-8 years of experience supporting corporate or commercial legal teams.
- Experience supporting U.S. corporate attorneys and multinational organizations, spread between multiple time zones and cultures.
- Demonstrated mastery of corporate governance, entity management, and contract processes.
- Proven experience in managing complex legal matters.
- Familiarity with GRC or entity‑management software.
Technical Responsibilities :
- Leadership in legal operations and documentation.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization capabilities.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
- Excellent English communication skills and high proficiency in legal drafting and review.
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervisory input.
- Motivated, eager to learn and demonstrate values, able to learn independently, research via multiple sources and finds information as needed.
