    POSITION:  Onamia Fitness Center Monitor 

    REQUIREMENTS:  Basic computer skills, knowledge of and interest in health and wellness, strong communication skills and customer service orientation. Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and social awareness, dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented, ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic knowledge of fitness equipment (preferred but not required)

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Supervise the fitness center and enforce facility rules and safety guidelines
    • Greet members and guests with a friendly, approachable attitude
    • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills when assisting users
    • Monitor equipment usage and report maintenance or safety concerns
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility including workout areas, gym, bathrooms and desk area
    • Respond to questions and provide basic guidance on facility use
    • Perform clerical duties (e.g., maintain member database and reports and front desk check-in; collect membership dues; develop and disseminate marketing materials, etc.).
    • Call and assist with members' payment due reminders and recruitment of past members
    • Assist with Community Services, education classes and activities as needed
    • Other duties may be assigned. 

    HOURS AND AVAILABILITY: Must be available to work weekday morning shifts (ex. 7am-11am, 8am-12pm). Flexibility to work weekends as needed. Ability to maintain a consistent and reliable schedule
