Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Gastroenterology Advanced Trainee to join the team at Northern Health Senior Advanced Endoscopy Fellow.

 

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.

 

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital.  In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

 

About the Role:

The Senior Advanced Endoscopy Fellow shall provide a crucial service for the Endoscopy Service at Northern Health, liaising with a dynamic multidisciplinary team to participate in Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR), Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD), Balloon enteroscopy, EUS and ERCP, as well as participate in multiple quality improvement and research activities. This role provides a unique opportunity to advance skills and knowledge in the management of patients with complex gastroenterological conditions.

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience and good working knowledge of general gastroenterological conditions and undertaking advanced training in gastroenterology, currently in third year or beyond;
  • Proven ability to work in a dynamic multidisciplinary team environment;
  • A passion for the care of patients with complex endoscopically treatable conditions;
  • A drive for continual learning and professional development; and
  • A strong interest in research and quality improvement activities
