What you'll do

Role Description:
Monitors and controls the transportation and distribution of products necessary to meet business needs whilst maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs. Tasks involve managing the administration and day-to-day logistics, evaluating different transport options, analyzing the optimal number of trucks / containers needed to transport product shipments based on the required schedule, and reviewing and improving processes and procedures relating to product distribution, cargo composition and storage.





Job Responsibilities:





  • Transport 5: Manage on a day-to-day basis the transportation of goods and supplies, using existing procedures; review procedures and recommend improvements to ensure on-time delivery of goods and supplies.
  • Incoming Goods 5: Manage on a day-to-day basis the delivery of a broad range of warehouse and store tasks, using and reviewing existing procedures to recommend improvements to ensure all goods and supplies are stored and recorded appropriately.
  • Outgoing Goods 5: Cultivate an understanding of packaging needs and develop ideas for prototypes to support the packaging process.
  • Sourcing 4: Collect and collate information on the key cost drivers, market dynamics and issues, areas of innovation, and alternative suppliers to provide solid market information to more senior colleagues for decision-making.
  • Information and Business Advice 4: Resolve complex queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on policies and/or procedures, referring the most complex issues to others.
