  • About The Role



  • Overview:

    Currie & Brown is seeking a highly motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team, providing expert cost management services on major construction and infrastructure projects. This role is suited for professionals who thrive in dynamic environments and are keen to lead project delivery across all stages of development.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage the full cycle of pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties.

    • Prepare cost plans, estimates, and feasibility studies at various design stages.

    • Lead tender and procurement processes, including BOQ preparation and tender evaluation.

    • Perform contract administration, valuations, variations, and final account settlements.

    • Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and cost forecasts to ensure financial control.

    • Advise clients on procurement strategies and contract options.

    • Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure alignment on cost and commercial matters.

    • Mentor junior QS staff and support team development.

    • Prepare detailed reports and present commercial updates to project stakeholders.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.

    • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in consultancy or contracting environments.

    • Experience with major construction sectors such as data centres, healthcare, commercial, or infrastructure.

    • Strong knowledge of contract forms such as FIDIC, JCT, or NEC.

    • MRICS, AIQS, or other relevant chartered status preferred.

    • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

    • Proficient in cost management software and MS Office tools.
