Support Services of Virginia is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Virginia Beach with an emphasis on weekend availability to provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in residential and community-based settings.

This position is ideal for individuals who are positive, dependable, flexible, community-minded, and enjoy making a meaningful impact. As a Direct Support Professional, you will help individuals balance what is important to and important for them while supporting them in living meaningful lives of their choosing.

We provide 24-hour services and are currently hiring primarily for weekend shifts (day, evening, and overnight), with opportunities for additional weekday hours based on availability and program needs.

Virtual interviews and training are provided via Zoom.

Compensation

 • Starting pay: $14.50 per hour
• Potential increase to $15.00 per hour after training and medication certification clearance
 • All certifications must be verified

Requirements

 • Proof of highest level of education
 • Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and tuberculosis screening
 • Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR/AED Certification, Medicaid Waiver Certification, and Direct Support Professional Core Competencies
 • Strong communication and time management skills
 • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
