Job Description

Job description

Imagine being part of a team where your work enables world-class quantum innovation.

At Diraq, we’re building the future of quantum computing—enabling millions of qubits on a single chip. Behind every breakthrough is a team that runs smoothly, communicates clearly, and stays focused on what matters most. And this is where you come in.

We’re looking for a Team Assistant to support our growing quantum computing business and leadership teams. This is a role for someone excited by deep tech who wants to work at the centre of a company pushing the boundaries of what’s computationally possible—keeping people, processes, and priorities aligned so world-class science can move faster.

This is more than admin support. You’ll be a key enabler—bringing order to complexity, creating rhythm across teams, and helping Diraq scale with intention.

Job requirements

  • You’ve worked in a Team Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or Coordinator role before, supporting multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • You ideally have experience in a startup or scale-up (or a similar high-growth setting) and are comfortable operating in energetic, evolving environments (and sometimes a little chaotic).
  • You’re excited by the idea of joining a company that is scaling quickly, where processes are still being built, and you enjoy bringing order, structure, and momentum as the organisation grows.
  • You’re highly organised, proactive, and detail oriented. You anticipate needs, adapt quickly to change, and stay calm when priorities shift.
  • You’re very comfortable working across the Microsoft ecosystem, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and PowerPoint, and you’re confident using AI tools to work smarter and more effectively.
  • You’re intellectually curious, adaptable, and motivated by the opportunity to work in a quantum computing company. No quantum experience is required—just a genuine interest in the work and the people doing it.

Job responsibilities

Enable teams to do their best work

  • You’ll make each day run smoothly partnering with multiple leaders and teams to keep calendars, meetings, and priorities on track in a fast-moving environment.
  • You’ll coordinate internal and external meetings end-to-end: setting things up, preparing agendas, capturing key points when needed, and driving follow-ups so decisions turn into action.

Create operational flow

  • You’ll support the rhythms of the business by managing recurring processes that keep work moving.
  • As the company grows and evolves, you’ll spot opportunities to simplify and streamline improving documentation, tightening processes, and helping teams work more efficiently.

Be the connective tissue

  • You’ll act as a central point of coordination across teams—helping information flow smoothly and ensuring people have the context they need.
  • You’ll maintain a strong “who’s who and what’s happening” view across the business.

Leverage tools and systems

  • You’ll use digital tools such as Outlook, Copilot, project trackers, collaboration platforms, and document management systems to stay organised and efficient.
  • You’ll help teams adopt better ways of working through templates, automation, and smart use of technology to save everyone’s time.

Support culture and team experience

  • You’ll manage and coordinate events, offsites, and internal communications and initiatives that strengthen connection and culture.
  • Above all, you’ll contribute to a positive, well-organised employee experience—playing a meaningful role in shaping how people experience the company as it grows.

Job benefits

  • Be part of a world-class quantum computing company solving problems at the frontier of science and engineering.
  • Work from our central Sydney CBD office, designed to support collaboration and focus.
  • Full disclosure: our benefit offerings are largely non-financial due to our company stage. Upon eligibility, you would be invited to participate in our Employee Incentive Program.
  • Join a supportive, smart, and driven team where your contribution genuinely matters.
  • Grow with the business—this role offers exposure, learning, and future career pathways as Diraq scales.
