    Job Details: 
    3.95 hours a day, 198 days (school year and additional days in summer)
    Hourly rate: $20.57 - $21.08 per hour, based on qualifications and experience
     
    Qualifications
    • Experience working with young children.
    • Outgoing nature, comfortable working with the community and across the district
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Feel comfortable conducting/facilitating parent groups and/or training.
    • Be able to work collaboratively with school staff, community agencies, and other parent educators.
    • Ability to honor confidentiality and be nonjudgmental.
    • Work independently with strong organizational skills, some data entry.
    • Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible hours when needed.
    Duties
    • Work closely with the Family Resource Center Director, Site Coordinator, and Social Worker
    • Plan for and implement a home visiting curriculum for children prenatal/birth to five and their families.
    • Conduct developmental screenings.
    • Conduct recruitment activities.
    • Work collaboratively with Killingly family childcare providers.
    • Provide technical assistance and trainings for regional childcare home providers.
    • Conduct/facilitate parent groups/trainings and playgroups.
    • Provide resource and referral services for Killingly residents.
    • Develop long-range plans for family home visits, workshop dates, ordering materials, and other services necessary to fulfill FRC requirements.  
    • Keep records of activities and enter the required data into the FRC data platform.
    • Prepare and distribute flyers, questionnaires, surveys, brochures, and event announcements.
    • Advocate for FRC support at the statewide level.
    • Represent the FRC at community meetings.    
    • Oversight of FRC diaper bank.
    • Assist in all program areas as needed, special projects.
    • Other duties as assigned by the Site Coordinator or Director.
