To perform this job successfully, an individual must be culturally responsive and able to implement each essential duty satisfactorily.

SUMMARY: The BCBA provides and assists with the development of educational, behavioral, and social
skills practices with students in a variety of educational settings. To perform this job successfully, an
individual must be culturally responsive and able to implement each essential duty satisfactorily.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be
able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the
knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals
with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Assist in the development, facilitation, and follow-up training in Applied Behavior Analysis, using
both discrete trial training and natural environment training models of teaching.
• Facilitate and assist in the development and identification of resources and support information for
clients and their families.
• Provide direct and indirect instructional support including, but not limited to, in-service instruction to
other support professionals.
• Assist in the development and implementation of assessment tools, conduct functional
assessments and analyses when appropriate, and develop appropriate behavior strategies to teach
appropriate behavior and reduce maladaptive behaviors.
• Provide ongoing support and training to direct support professionals and other individuals in support
roles.
• Ongoing training of paraprofessional staff in the implementation of ABA principles and methodology
and behavior reduction strategies.
• Create an ongoing data collection system to establish baseline and programmatic efficacy for all
consumers, and to analyze data on a frequent and ongoing basis to guide programming.
• Develop behavior plans for all consumers with a focus on teaching and other antecedent strategies
for reducing problematic behavior(s).
• Meet as needed with school staff to discuss ongoing consumer issues and to provide support when
necessary.
• Review and sign off on behavior plan training for all field staff.
• Keep current with the literature, new research findings, and resources. In addition, continuing
education courses to maintain BCBA certification are necessary.
• Maintain all data, paperwork, and communication between school staff and families.
• Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Master's degree in applied behavioral analysis (ABA) or BCBA preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of education related experience, working with children with autism or other
social/emotional disabilities is preferred.
• CPI training is preferred.
• Flexible schedule with a willingness to travel to various schools.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
• Criminal background check
• Valid Colorado Driver’s License
• Colorado Department of Education License as applicable

administrator.
