Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

To maintain all electric motors, control boxes, starters and PLC’s operation of all electric equipment and repair.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintenance and repair of motors
  • Maintenance on control boxes
  • Maintenance on PLC’s, variable speed drives etc.
  • Maintenance on starters
  • Run of conduit and wiring
  • Replacement of parts as needed
  • Installing and removal of machinery
  • Know emergency procedures when lights go out in plant
  • Procedures for lockout/tag out

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma, General Educational Development Diploma (GED) or equivalent experience
  • Strong background in electrical
  • Good work history
  • 3 years’ experience as an electrician in an industrial environment desired

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Must be able to understand and carry out basic instructions while performing manual labor related tasks

  • Bending/stooping- to pick up tools or parts, to perform work tasks at lower levels or inside a machine
