Summary



The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse functions to support production, shipping, and receiving operations while ensuring compliance with all food safety and quality standards under SQF/BRC. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safe practices and supporting the team’s overall operational goals.







Key Responsibilities




  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all food safety/quality requirements under SQF/BRC.

  • Maintain safe work practices, including proper forklift operation, safe driving speeds, horn usage, and seatbelt compliance.

  • Review production sheets to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.

  • Accurately pick customer orders by interpreting pick-tickets and using RF scanner systems.

  • Load and unload transport vehicles, ensuring products are securely and evenly placed.

  • Maintain forklift equipment, complete daily inspections, and ensure proper shutdown and charging procedures.

  • Document all shipping and receiving activities thoroughly and accurately.

  • Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) procedures for all warehouse inventory unless otherwise directed.

  • Strictly adhere to company inventory control and MRP system policies.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and housekeeping tasks to keep warehouse areas safe and organized.

  • Support other warehouse or production-related duties as assigned.







Knowledge, Skills & Abilities




  • Strong mathematical and reading comprehension skills with mechanical aptitude.

  • Working knowledge of MRP systems and RF scanner technology.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (certification required).

  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.

  • Flexibility to work different shifts or extended hours as business needs require.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
