Job Description

Position Overview   

We are seeking a curious and adaptable Full-Stack Engineer to join our digital transformation team in Cambridge, MA. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive on variety, love tackling new challenges, and are energized by continuous learning. You'll work across diverse projects for multiple Mitsubishi Electric Businesses, gaining exposure to different problem domains, technologies, and architectural patterns. If you're someone who gets excited about diving into unfamiliar codebases, learning new frameworks, and solving complex technical problems, this is the role for you. 

Key Responsibilities   

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using modern frameworks and technologies across both frontend and backend
  • Debug and optimize applications running in cloud environments, working with containerized deployments and infrastructure as code
  • Quickly learn and work with diverse technology stacks and frameworks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across different business units to understand requirements and deliver solutions
  • Take ownership of technical decisions and contribute to architectural discussions
  • Continuously expand your technical skillset by adapting to new frameworks, tools, and problem domains
  • Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentoring team members
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across the full stack, from frontend UI to backend services and infrastructure 

 

Required Qualifications/Certifications   

Education & Experience   

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience (5+ years preferred)
  • Experience building and maintaining full-stack web applications in production environments
  • Track record of taking on increasingly complex technical challenges and growing your skillset over time  

Technical Skills   

  • Solid understanding of web application fundamentals (HTTP, REST APIs, authentication, state management)
  • Experience with multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, C#, Java, or similar)
  • Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, or equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of backend frameworks and API development
  • Understanding of cloud platforms and containerization concepts (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Exposure to cloud platforms in production (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Basic experience with infrastructure as code or DevOps practices
  • Comfort working in codebases you didn't write and technologies you're still learning and strong debugging and problem-solving skills across the full stack.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for learning new tools, frameworks, and approaches
