Martin’s Point Health Care believes offering students the opportunity to gain practical experience is critical to their education and to the future of primary care.  As part of its education initiative, Martin's Point offers Provider Student Clinical Training Programs for individuals pursuing a career in the medical field.  Students will gain experience and supervised exposure to key clinical responsibilities within their scope of practice

Student Requirements:

• Must be enrolled in an accredited nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or medical school educational program. The same process will apply to physician residents who wish to do a clinical training rotation.
• Engages as appropriate, in clinical activities of the health care center and ensures compliance with appropriate clinical standards.
• Completes appropriate organizational and compliance training.

• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Has analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a discreet and professional manner.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Effective time management skills.
• School must have a current clinical training affiliation agreement with Martin’s Point Health Care.
