Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead Pump Integration Technician is the primary technical lead for the installation, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of pump systems used in power generation and industrial equipment packages. This role performs advanced hands on technical work while coordinating the daily activities of a team of technicians. The Lead Technician ensures pump systems are properly integrated with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems, and that all equipment meets quality, safety, and operational standards. This position serves as the go to technical expert for pump performance and integration related issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may")
- Serve as the on site technical lead for all pump integration activities on equipment packages.
- Assign day to day tasks to technicians and ensure work is performed according to engineering requirements and safety standards.
- Act as point of contact for engineering, quality, production, and suppliers for pump related technical questions.
- Support supervisors and managers by helping coordinate schedules, resources, and technical priorities.
- Perform and oversee installation, alignment, and setup of pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, and associated components.
- Conduct advanced testing and verification of pump performance, including flow, pressure, vibration, temperature, and system response.
- Troubleshoot complex issues such as cavitation, vibration abnormalities, seal leaks, motor/pump misalignment, hydraulic inefficiencies, and control system interaction problems.
- Assist with pump and system interface configuration, including wiring, instrumentation, VFD settings, and control logic checks.
- Validate system compatibility with engineering specifications, pump curves, and performance expectations.
- Support root cause analysis for pump failures or recurring quality issues.
- Complete detailed documentation of inspections, test results, system parameters, and corrective actions.
- Identify quality issues and generate Non Conformance Reports (NCRs) as needed.
- Partner with quality and engineering teams to implement corrective actions and process improvements.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety rules, LOTO procedures, and all rotating equipment safety protocols.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and assembly teams to resolve pump installation or system integration challenges.
- Support customer witness testing, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), and technical discussions when required.
- Assist engineering with continuous improvement initiatives, design feedback, and reliability enhancements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
