Job Description

We are currently looking for a Full Time Sr. Manager, Child Development Center to join our Child Development Center Southern Region team located at the Ardmore Education Resources working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.

Summary:

Direct supervision of child development center managers and indirect supervision of staff within the applicable child development centers.

Responsibilities:

* Oversees the day-to-day operations of the child development centers
* Oversees development and revision of child development policies, standard operating procedures and manuals
* Maintains a collaborative work environment with tribal and community partners
* Monitors facility safety and cleanliness in order to meet and exceed tribal and federal standards
* Provides oversight of the facilities to meet and exceed all licensing and accreditation standards

* Serves as a liaison with federal, state and accreditation licensing and monitoring officials and health and safety inspectors
* Acts as a team leader and works cooperatively with staff and managers to implement a comprehensive child development program for families

* Ensures compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines for assigned work area
* Monitors the ease of application and enrollment processes for child development centers
* Monitors the waiting and transition lists to ensure classroom sizes are appropriate for ages of children enrolled
* Monitors child development database systems for programming and tribal operations, and recommends system enhancements

* Monitors childcare payment systems with assistance from billing coordinator
* Monitors a stimulating, safe and age-appropriate environment for children served

* Monitors the overall quality of care provided and assess the needs of families served
* Assess the completion of child portfolios and required meetings with parents/guardians regarding their child’s development
* Monitors the quality of support in meeting the needs of children in transitioning to school
* Ensures quality, time-sensitive debriefing practices after incidents involving the health and safety of children and staff
* Interview, select and submit manager applicants for hire
* Provides guidance and or completes the onboarding of new staff

* Performs staff annual evaluations

* Conducts progressive corrective action of employees assigned

* Approves time off requests and ensures appropriate staffing

* Monitor staff retention and turnover rates and gauge employee satisfaction
* Ensures employees and resources complete assigned training and development
* Frequently reviews staff records, including training, education and experience
* Frequently reviews staff observations and ensures records regarding the behavior, health and activities of children are documented to differentiate care and provide accurate reports to parents/guardians
* Facilitates and conducts scheduled meetings, conferences, and parent engagement opportunities as needed

* Designs and maintains a system for tracking all activities of staff and children to meet program’s policies and procedures
* Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types
- Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures a safe environment
- Maintains and promotes professionalism
- Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics

* Meets operational goals by establishing productivity, quality and service standards, resolves operational problems and identifies work process improvements

* Prepares weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports

* Coordinates with director to stay within the allotted budget for expenditures in all child development centers
* Serve as a member of the leadership team, providing input on overall strategic direction of the institution and serves on various committees

* Ensures all outcomes and deliverables meet organizational goals, objectives, and quality standards

* Maintains knowledge of and enforce all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, eg Oklahoma Early Learning Guidelines, Oklahoma Core Competencies, monitoring compliance, accounting principles, etc.

* Treats all applicants and co-workers with dignity and respect

* Required to obtain 40 hours of early childhood training annually

* Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types

* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
* Administers leadership meetings and fosters a collaborative environment among education programs

* Frequently reviews health and safety practices of staff and ensures all tribal standards are being met

* Develops comprehensive solutions to problems or reoccurring issues as they arise

* Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
