    Qualifications:                         *Valid Kansas Teaching Certificate (Math Gr. 6-8)
                                                    *Strategist Instructional Background (Math and/or Social/Emotional/Behavior
                                                    *Good personal and social skills for working with middle school students and staff.

    BASIC FUNCTION/PURPOSE
    To provide Strategy instruction for students to make progress toward grade level.
     
    CRITICAL SKILLS:

    3. Ability to respond to information requests in a courteous, timely and helpful manner.

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Work with struggling learners using various instructional and intervention strategies.  Believes everyone can learn.
    2. Displays the ability to work with students to guide them in creating their own solutions
    3. Analyze data to design strategies and interventions for individual student improvement.
    4. Assist in the placement of students into intervention classes.
    5. Collaborate with other Strategist teachers.
    6. Possesses a willingness to learn and implement a new educational paradigm.
    7. Participate in building and district curriculum meetings.
    8. Keep up-to-date with the latest research in curriculum and instruction.
    9. Attend professional development appropriate for personal growth.
    10. Uphold and enforce Board policies, administrative procedures, school rules, and federal and state regulations including but not limited to

    Consolidated Plan for Federal Programs
    Acceptable use of technology
    Sexual and racial harassment
    Child abuse reporting

    1. All other duties as assigned.

     
     
    Term of Employment:             Teacher Contract
     
    Salary Range:                          Determined by placement on teacher salary schedule.
