Job Description

About the Department

Under occasional supervision, performs customer service activities, including working at the reception desk. Performs clerical, administrative, and daily transaction duties for the General Aviation department. Complies with office policies and procedures. Performs quality checks for completeness and accuracy. Will be required to work flexible hours, some holidays and weekends. Will assist with general housekeeping duties as required.

Position Duties

  • Provide Excellent Customer Service to all Customers
  • Provide clerical support to the General Aviation Department
  • Assist the supervisor in the management of day-to day staff to include scheduling, training and customer service.
  • Oversee the key and tenant list for each airport to ensure all contact information is current
  • Ensure flight line and customer service records are verified to ensure proper billing
  • Perform customer service duties to include but not limited to: meet and greet arriving and departing customers, telephone reception, and other customer service duties as needed.
  • Communicate via two-way radio with flight line regarding aircraft services.
  • Assist customers with obtaining reservations, transportation, lodging, and catering.
  • Ensure daily paperwork is accurately maintained and bank deposits are accurately prepared.
  • Process monthly billing and collection of fees for contracts and customers.
  • Perform periodic, as needed inventory of office equipment, supplies, and other items as necessary.
  • Maintain work station, lobby, and building areas in clean and safe manner.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability and willingness to learn all aspects of customer service and transactions for General Aviation
  • Ability to learn and understand new computer/accounting systems as necessary
  • Ability to review and suggest corrections of daily transactions and reports
  • Strong interpersonal customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate on two-way radios, multi-line telephones, and general office equipment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Products
  • Ability to work other shifts as necessary
  • Ability to work in all General Aviation locations
  • Ability to work in a TEAM environment
  • Ability to verify and post details of all sales transactions, such as: receipts of payments, sales receipts, credit card charges, cash handling, check handling, daily sales drawer balancing.
  • Ability to understand monthly agreements, fuel tickets, time sheets, employee attendance records, invoices, sales reports, supply requisitions, contracts, memos, and vendor files.
  • Ability to prepare various reports as requested by Airport Finance Department and General Aviation.
  • Ability to process and send invoices for payment.
  • Ensure daily paperwork is accurately maintained and bank deposits are accurately prepared.
  • Ability to utilize computer systems accurately to perform regular duties.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts in all general aviation locations as necessary.
  • Ability to perform other various duties as needed.

Other Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with two years general office experience.
  • Knowledge of computers and office software packages to include but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment such as; fax machine, copy machine, two-way radios, and calculator.
  • Candidate must pass a background check without indication of possible aviation security risk as required by the Transportation Security Administration, a valid SC motor vehicle operator’s license, and meet pre-employment drug screening requirements.
