Pay Rate: $25.00 an hour
SUMMARY: Assist the Team Member Engagement Manager in planning, coordinating, and communicating Treasure Island’s vision, mission, and overall brand identity through written and verbal messages and team efforts. Build relationships and support all divisions. Responsible for a high level of guest service standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner closely with Team Member Engagement Manager and Brand Communications to create, edit and disseminate communication and internal content calendars for team member initiatives, including events, projects, and other property initiatives
- Work cross-organizationally to elevate, plan and execute internal communication strategies that inform, inspire and engage our team members, ensuring they have the information they need to be successful
- Support efforts to deepen team member engagement, build brand reputation, and drive impact through internal communications
- Update and monitor team member communications such as bulletin boards, electronic systems, newsletters, etc.
- Serve as internal marketer and look for exciting, engaging ways to get the right message, to the right person, at the right time, and through the right channel
- Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of long-range Team Members, communication and engagement strategies such as special events, rewards programs, offers, benefits, opportunities, etc.
- Assist in planning, organizing and implementing team member events such as picnics, holiday parties, feast and giveaways. Along with meetings, discussion groups, specialty trainings and track results ensuring budgetary guidelines are followed
- Serve as an emcee of The Island and assist with the planning, coordination, and staffing of on and off property team events
- Work directly with Brand Project Manager to create and oversee internal communications work orders and workflow process
- Work directly with the Public Relations team on Island Impact efforts
- Learn brand standards and become a steward and ambassador of the Treasure Island Resort & Casino brand
- Develop and prepare surveys
- Assist in applying for property awards and other company achievements
- Occasionally assist with reception duties
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and Certification
Required:
- 4-year degree or certificate in Human Resources, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or related field and 2-5 years’ experience in related field; or a combination of equivalent experience and/or education
- Experience in gaming and/or hospitality industries
- Experience telling stories using several different communication methods that resonate with a variety of people
- Experience in event planning and management
- Tactical understanding of social medial platforms and applications

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to walk, stand or sit for long periods throughout the day
- Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel and stoop
- Must have the ability to independently lift up to 25+ pounds occasionally
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Office, restaurant, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke and outdoors for guest events
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays and travel offsite
- Extensive computer use
- Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
- High volume direct in-person work
