Description

Our Early Learning Center Teachers work within our 4 YMCA Early Learning Centers.We have Early Learning Centers located in our Fercho YMCA and Schlossman YMCA branches, as well as two Early Learning Centers located in Fargo and West Fargo.

Our Early Learning Centers are so much more than just your typical daycare! We provide quality, licensed care for infants - preschool children (children ages 6 weeks to 5 years). Our curriculum incorporates math, science, dramatic play, music, and art to provide opportunities for group and independent learning experiences.

Childcare Classroom Assistant:

  • Your compassion will show through as you interact with children and guide their learning at the YMCA Learning Centers
  • Promote a healthy, emotional, social, intellectual and physical environment for each child.
  • Assist in planning a variety of activities and creative curriculum to enhance gross and fine motor skills, social/emotional development, and provide children with sensory and cognitive experiences.
  • Interact with the children's parents and answer any other questions they may have.
  • You will be a role model for the children by presenting yourself in a confident, dignified manner. You will leave the childcare center feeling rewarded that you made a difference in the life of a child.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years old AND
  • High School Diploma or GED AND
  • 6 months of paid experience working with children

 

And must also complete:

  • Within 90 days of hire: CPR/First Aid/AED Certification for Adult, Child, and Pediatrics
  • Within 90 days of hire: 15 hours of basic childcare training through Child Care Aware

Summary

Shifts Needed:

Monday through Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm or 8:30am-5:30pm
