Job Description

Job Title: Janitorial Associate

Job Summary: The Janitorial Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of park buildings, food service areas, restrooms, and midways. This role ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and team members by performing routine custodial duties, minor maintenance tasks, and supporting overall facility operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform custodial duties while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms using proper chemicals, equipment, and procedures.
  • Sweep, mop (wet and dry), wax, and maintain floors in buildings and food service areas.
  • Vacuum and maintain carpeting.
  • Wash windows, furniture, and other fixtures.
  • Remove trash, paper, and debris from buildings and park grounds.
  • Mop and maintain food locations to ensure sanitary conditions.
  • Move furniture; set up, fold, and store tables and chairs as needed.
  • Lock and unlock doors; monitor building and ground security.
  • Activate and deactivate alarm systems as required.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks when needed.
  • Maintain positive and professional interactions with guests, vendors, clients, and employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Previous janitorial, custodial, or cleaning experience (preferred).
  • Customer service experience (preferred).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and repetitive motions.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.

  • Promote and practice safe work habits at all times.
  • Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Comply with all company, local, state, and federal safety regulations.
