About the Department
Reporting to the Director, the Coursework Coordinator supports the WinthropLIFE program, which offers postsecondary
education opportunities for students with intellectual disabilities, by teaching LIFE classes to students.
- Provides instruction to small groups on various topics, including health practices, mobility, housekeeping,
finances and careers. - Assesses student learning from baseline to mastery.
- Reviews outcomes and modifies instructional material based on results.
- Tracks and maintains accurate student attendance records.
- Represents WinthropLIFE at both on and off campus events.
Position Duties
- Bachelor’s degree.
- One year of professional experience working with students with intellectual disabilities.
- Ability to plan and deliver effective lessons; adapt classroom management strategies to meet diverse student
needs. - Ability to assess student learning objectively and consistently.
- Ability to represent the WinthropLIFE program in a professional manner.
- Sufficient technical ability to master software required to perform job duties.
- Effective oral and written communication.
Other Qualifications
Annual Salary/Hiring Range: $44,650; Aug. 1 to May 15.
