Schedule: part time, benefit eligible (average 20 hours per week)

Open to applicants; predominately during the traditional work week with flexibility for events/booths in evenings or on weekends.

A Brief Overview

The Zero Suicide Program Coordinator supports the implementation, coordination, and ongoing evaluation of the Zero Suicide framework across Children's Nebraska. This role works collaboratively with clinical, operational, and quality teams to promote evidence-based suicide prevention practices, support team member training, monitor key metrics, and advance organizational efforts to improve patient and team safety and outcomes related to suicide prevention.

Essential Functions

  • Program Coordination
    • Coordinate implementation and sustainability of the Zero Suicide framework.
    • Support development, tracking, and reporting of Zero Suicide-related goals, metrics, and scorecards.
    • Assist with policy, workflow, and protocol development related to suicide screening, assessment, safety planning, and follow-up care.
  • Training and Team Member Support
    • Coordinate team member training and onboarding related to suicide prevention best practices.
    • Maintain training records and assist with scheduling educational opportunities.
    • Serve as a resource to team members regarding Zero Suicide tools, workflows, and clinical resources.
  • Quality Improvement and Data Monitoring
    • Track and analyze program metrics related to suicide screening, risk assessment, safety planning, and follow-up care.
    • Collaborate with quality and data teams to monitor outcomes and identify improvement opportunities.
    • Support quality improvement initiatives aligned with Zero Suicide principles.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Partner with Behavioral Health leaders, clinicians, and operational teams to advance suicide prevention initiatives.
    • Participate in internal committees and workgroups focused on patient and team safety and behavioral health integration.
    • Support communication of program updates, outcomes, and improvement efforts.



Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Behavioral Health, Psychology, or other related field Required and
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or other related field Preferred



Experience Qualifications

  • In Behavioral Health, Healthcare Program Coordination, or Quality Improvement Preferred
  • Familiarity with Suicide Prevention Practices and Behavioral Health Clinical Workflows Preferred
