Recruiter & Retention Manager — Build and Support Our Driver Network

Are you passionate about recruiting top talent and helping people build successful long-term careers? Join our Norfolk team as a Driver Recruiter & Retention Manager, where you’ll play a vital role in attracting, onboarding, and supporting professional drivers who help power our transportation network. This position is essential to fleet growth, driver success, and long-term retention.

What You’ll Do as a Recruiter and Retention Manager:

Driver Recruitment

  • Develop and implement recruiting strategies to attract qualified driver candidates
  • Meet and exceed hiring and onboarding goals
  • Build strong pipelines of transportation professionals through outreach and networking efforts

Candidate Engagement & Onboarding

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective drivers throughout the hiring process
  • Conduct informational sessions and onboarding meetings for Independent Contractors (ICs)
  • Guide candidates from initial inquiry through onboarding and vehicle placement
  • Deliver a professional, positive, and supportive candidate experience

Retention & Driver Support

  • Build strong relationships with drivers to support long-term engagement and success
  • Partner with operations and internal departments to improve driver satisfaction and retention
  • Address driver concerns and provide ongoing support after onboarding

Reporting & Administrative Support

  • Maintain accurate applicant and onboarding records within tracking systems
  • Provide recruiting updates, hiring metrics, and retention reports to leadership
  • Assist with additional team projects and operational initiatives as needed

What We’re Looking for as a Recruiter and Retention Manager:

  • Previous experience in recruiting, retention, staffing, sales, or a related field preferred
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented mindset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively across teams
  • Dependable, proactive, and results-driven approach
