Assistant Professor of Management

The Plaster School of Business (PSB) at Missouri Southern State University invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Management position with an expected start date of August 1, 2026.

Duties:

• Teach undergraduate courses in management (Management Information Systems, Organizational Behavior, Principles of Management, Strategic Management) and/or various HR courses. There will likely be an opportunity to teach graduate courses.
• Leverage a variety of emerging technologies.
• Deliver courses through traditional, online, and alternative instructional methods.
• Maintain an active research agenda that results in presentations and applied and pedagogical peer-reviewed publications.
• Exhibit enthusiasm for engaging with and mentoring students and engaging with colleagues.
• Participate in service to the department, college, broader university community, and with the business and professional community.

Required Qualifications:

• Candidates will possess an earned doctorate with a concentration in operations management, supply chain, or a related field from an AACSB-accredited school by August 1, 2025. ABD candidates may be considered for a visiting position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Refereed in-discipline journal publications.
• Related business experience

The PSB is accredited by ACBSP and AACSB with 21 full-time faculty. Undergraduate programs include a BS in Agribusiness and a BS in Business Administration with emphases in: Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance, General Business, HR Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management. In addition, the PSB offers graduate MBA and M.S. in Data Analytics programs.
