Job Description

 



Scope: 

Uplift a team environment to assist the agency’s mission. Serve as a first point of contact to all visitors in person. Responsible for administrative support and providing a connection to resources and programs while serving all people with dignity and respect.





Essential Functions 

•    Work closely with the public providing safe, respectful, dignified service to all people in a professional manner.

•    Conduct comprehensive interviews with visitors to identify their needs using a Whole Family approach. 

•    Provide wrap around services by assisting in submitting applications, scheduling appointments, and finding additional resources that meet that specific individual’s need.

•    Maintain confidential and accurate client files, as well as confidentiality of coworkers.

•    Utilize various databases and systems to enter, track, and analyze accurate data.

•    Work closely with agency staff to share information, innovate, and continue to optimize the visitor/client service experience. 

•    Remain up to date with, and provide accurate, programmatic information following all guidelines to visitors.

•    Attend offered trainings to remain fully prepared and equip to fully execute all assigned responsibilities with the most recent knowledge.

•    Support all agency safety initiatives and perform timely safety site inspections and address identified needs.  

•    Communicate clearly and accurately with the proper point of contact for various situations that may arise while on site to support operations.   

•    Be reliable and punctual daily, while supporting the agency’s Administrative Assistants with lunch and break coverage, and any other on site needs as identified. 

•    Effectively manage projects concurrently while working alongside different departments and teams administering various programs. 

•    Travel to multiple locations as needed throughout Wayne County. 

•    Perform work in the office based upon a designated schedule. 

•    Willingness to learn and understand the agency, partners, events, and the community we serve by performing tasks in a manner that upholds the agency’s policies, procedures, mission, and vision. 

•    Support the agency’s mission and vision with a positive attitude.

•    Other duties as assigned.

 



Physical Requirements:

This job operates in a professional office environment with a quiet noise level while interacting with multiple individuals in person. This is largely a sedentary role and the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, frequently use hands, use eyes to work on computer, and to talk or hear.
