About the Role:
The States of Guernsey are looking for a Learning Mentor (11-16) to join the team at Les Varendes High School for 1 year from September 2026.
The Learning Mentor supports the overall aims of the school to develop an inclusive, supportive and challenging culture for both staff and students, within a safe and secure environment by providing teaching activities and challenging students to make good progress.
The Learning Mentor will help the school in its aims to meet the needs of every student by helping young people to access learning and teaching opportunities and by offering flexible support to young people, their families, teachers and the school. The Learning Mentor will also be expected to work collaboratively across the Secondary School Partnership in the pursuit of excellence for all, professional support and continuous improvement. The Learning Mentor may occasionally be required to work across more than one site to ensure that the needs of students are met at all times.
