Position Summary

The Standards Engagement, Certified Supply Chain Specialist will provide technical engagement support as part of the continuous improvement of Textile Exchange’s chain of custody standard (Content Claim Standard), supporting policies, and certified supply chain tools such as Trackit. This role focuses on supporting certified organizations and supply chain actors through standards knowledge, consultation coordination, and structured feedback collection. 

The Specialist will serve as a bridge between the Standards & Assurance department, the Engagement & Partnerships department, and certified organizations to help ensure standards requirements, system expectations, and digital tools developments are communicated clearly and consistently. 

This role is essential to translating evolving chain of custody requirements and Trackit updates into accessible engagement content that supports informed stakeholder participation across the certified supply chain. 


Key Responsibilities 

Support stakeholder engagement and implementation readiness related to Textile Exchange’s certified supply chain system elements, including the Content Claim Standard (CCS), supporting policies (SC/TC), and tools such as Trackit, by translating technical developments into accessible engagement content, coordinating consultations, and supporting structured feedback collection. 


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Certified Supply Chain Content & Policy Knowledge 

  • Serve as a key engagement resource for certified supply chain system elements, including the Content Claim Standard (CCS), Policy for Scope and Transaction Certificates (SC/TC), and supporting tools such as Trackit.  
  • Monitor updates to standards, policies, calibration decisions, and tool developments to help ensure changes are communicated clearly in collaboration with the Standards & Assurance department.  
  • Translate technical requirements, policy changes, and tool functionality into stakeholder-friendly content that supports understanding and implementation by certified organizations.  

Stakeholder Consultation & Feedback Support 

  • Support the identification, design, and delivery of consultations related to certified supply chain standards, policies, and tools in collaboration with the Standards & Assurance department.  
  • Gather and document stakeholder feedback, implementation challenges, and operational insights to support continuous improvement of system elements and user experience.  
  • Track and synthesize stakeholder trends, surfacing recurring themes and risks to relevant internal teams to help inform policy updates and system development.  

Engagement Material Development & Awareness Raising 

  • Act as a liaison between the Standards & Assurance department and Engagement & Partnerships colleagues to help translate technical certified supply chain content into accessible and actionable stakeholder information.  
  • Support awareness-raising engagement activities related to chain of custody requirements, policy expectations, and supporting tools.  
  • Create foundational content and educational resources that can be leveraged across Engagement & Partnerships activities to support stakeholder understanding of system changes, tool updates, and implementation expectations. 


Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

Stakeholder Relationship & Case Management Support 

  • Support the Industry & Materials Engagement teams in managing relationships with certified organizations and Trackit users by providing standards and policy content support related to CCS, SC/TC requirements, and system implementation.  
  • Respond to complex stakeholder inquiries related to chain of custody requirements, certified supply chain policies, and supporting tools.  
  • Track and maintain records of stakeholder cases, feedback, and follow-up through Textile Exchange’s case management system.  

Cross-Functional Coordination 

  • Collaborate across Standards & Assurance, Engagement & Partnerships, and technical teams to support aligned stakeholder communications and engagement approaches.  
  • Support internal alignment by helping identify stakeholder education, consultation, and implementation support needs related to certified supply chain system developments. 


Minimum Qualifications

  • ​At least three combined years of experience working in standards systems and/or quality management. 
  • ​​​​​​​​Detail-oriented, logical, systematic, methodical, and highly organized.
  • ​Experience working in database systems with both external and internal users. Experience with a high volume of inquiries is an asset. 
  • ​Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within teams and across departments. 
  • ​​Ability to work in a flexible, yet fast-paced remote environment, able to meet deadlines and share progress regularly.   
  • ​Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and Project Management software. 
  • ​​Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.  
  • ​Able to communicate effectively across time zones.

  • ​Experience with Textile Exchange standards  
  • Experience with Salesforce  


Employment Package 

  • Full-Time Position, 40 Hours a Week
  • Required travel: less than 10% 
  • Annual Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 USD
