About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Sales for the Americas, the Sales Manager is responsible for pursuing and developing new sales opportunities while keeping continuous track of customer portfolio performance and collecting customer and market insights.

Essential Functions and Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage and track the monthly and quarterly demand forecasting of customer volumes, prices, inventories
  • Optimize customer portfolio profitability through close collaboration with Production Planning, Product Management and Customer Service
  • Proactively perform analyses on profitability, inventories and cash management and propose ways to continuously improve results
  • Consistently manage customer's expectations by identifying new needs and satisfying current ones via systematic dialogue and follow-ups to customer's requests
  • Collect customer and market insights in a continuous and structured manner, utilize data to create accurate demand forecasting
  • Monitor sales performance of the customer base
  • Feed and monitor the sales funnel for the customers contacted, also with the support of the CRM tool
  • Ensure Commercial Excellence deployment on the customer base:
    • Fully adhere of Commercial Excellence guidelines and tools (i.e., implement customer segmentation, adopt the account planning template, support ComEx governance)
    • Leverage new CRM functionalities to support sales activities (e.g., tracking and updating of growth initiatives; monitoring and recording of customer touch-bases; repository of sales data
  • Collaborate with customer service in ensuring the adequate service level to customers to support the sales process
  • Periodically report on commercial performance to Head of Sales, proactively identifying criticalities/roadblocks and suggesting possible solutions
  • Review customer performance, periodically, and signal those that are promising to be further followed by proper time allocation
  • Pursue new customer and business opportunities to support the business unit blueprint and growth roadmap

Minimum Occupational Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, required; Master's Degree preferred
  • Knowledge of market, competitive environment, and products technicalities
  • Ability to understand annual plans and P&Ls
  • Positive and fast-learning mindset to get up to speed on these topics
  • Good quantitative skills and ease in performing quick cases
  • Good knowledge of basic Office package, digital oriented attitude
  • Ability to build trust by being a great listener to customers’ needs
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and passport
  • Ability to work additional hours during the week, on weekends, or outside of regular office hours may be required
