Third Coast Distributing was founded in 2013 and is part of a
global service organization engaged in the distribution of automotive and
industrial replacement parts.
Doing business as NAPA Auto Parts, TCD serves
thousands of customers from an independent network across South and Central Texas.

About The Role:

Our
Counter Salespeople are the key to our success, delivering excellent customer
experiences and developing long-standing relationships with our customers. Position
reports to the Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities:   

  • Provide
    outstanding customer experiences.
  • Operating a
    cash register and navigating computer and paper catalog systems.
  • Effectively
    communicate features, benefits, and warranty policy information to
    customers.
  • Demonstrate a
    positive, helpful attitude as well as professional conduct and appearance
    at all times.
  • Use your parts
    knowledge to assist other NAPA team members answer questions for
    customers.
  • Use computer, cash
    register, telephone, and paper catalog system.
  • Maintain current promotional material and
    in-store displays.
  • Understand and comply with all Company policies.
  • Protect self,
    co-workers, and customers by maintaining a safe and clean store environment.
  • Ensure overall cleanliness of the front counter, salesfloor,
    and back areas.

About You:       

The ideal
candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • A minimum of 1 year experience working in a
    retail environment, prior automotive background or knowledge is preferred.
  • Knowledge
    of cataloging and/or inventory management systems is a plus.  
  • High School diploma or
    equivalent.
  • Must enjoy working with people in a fast-paced
    and exciting environment.
  • Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently
    and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 15
    pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 60 pounds.
