    Digital Learning Specialist/Technology Coordinator - 2026-2027

    Deerfield Community School is a PreK�8 public school located in Deerfield, NH. We are currently seeking qualified and enthusiastic candidates for a  Digital Learning Specialist/Technology Coordinator to lead the meaningful integration of technology across PreK�8 teaching and learning for the 2026-20267 school year. This individual will collaborate with teachers, students, and staff to enhance digital literacy, support curriculum with innovative tools, and ensure responsible, effective technology use- including artificial intelligence - to support student engagement and achievement.

    The position includes direct teaching of Tech Literacy in middle school, with a focus on the development and completion of student digital portfolios, as well as instruction in STEM, coding, robotics, and 3D printing.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide professional development and coaching for PreK�8 educators on effective, inclusive technology integration.
    • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to design and implement digital learning initiatives aligned with curriculum and school goals.
    • Teach digital literacy, digital citizenship, and technology skills to middle school students, supporting them in completing digital portfolios and promote the responsible use of technology and AI, modeling ethical digital behavior and teaching online safety.
    • Facilitate use of learning management systems and other educational platforms to streamline instruction and communication.
    • Stay current with emerging educational technologies, including artificial intelligence, and bring forward innovative instructional solutions.
    • Create and maintain tech tutorials, how-to guides, and curated digital resources for staff, students, and families.
    • Contribute to the school's vision and strategic planning for educational technology.
    • Coordinate with IT to manage devices and digital tools, assist with tech troubleshooting, and support hardware and software rollouts.
    • Provide just-in-time student and teacher tech support when needed.
    • Collaborate with Administration and Technology Support Specialist in outlining a replacement cycle.
    • Assist with rostering certain software tools.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's/Master's degree with a Digital Learning Specialist certification.
    • Strong knowledge of LMS platforms, Google Workspace for Education, and digital tools used in PreK�8 classrooms.
    • Demonstrated ability to teach 6th-8th students in Tech Literacy, digital citizenship, STEM, coding, robotics, and 3D printing.
    • Understanding of artificial intelligence and its instructional applications.
    • Experience providing professional development and collaborating with educators.
    • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast-paced school environment.
