Position Summary



The role of the EEG Tech reports to the Sleep Lab Manager. This position, under the supervision of a Registered EEG Tech and Physician, will be responsible for assisting with EEG testing.



 



Essential Position Responsibilities




  • Assist with preparation of test including ensuring all materials are available and assisting with electrode application

  • Ensure patient safety during clinical testing

  • Observe testing to record electrical activity emitting from the brain and input into the appropriate software

  • Prepare data and documentation for interpretation by a physician



 



Qualifications




  • Education: High school diploma or GED, required.

  • Licensure and Certifications: CPR, required. Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.EEG.T) required within 6 years of hire.

  • Experience: Previous experience in EEG or a sleep lab, preferred.



Work Environment: This position will spend 60% of the time walking and/or standing while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 40% of the time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. This position may be exposed to communicable disease and bodily fluids. This position will serve a culturally and linguistically diverse patient population.
