Position: Senior Human Resources Manager

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Human Resources Manager to lead and manage all HR functions across a growing, multi-state organization. This role partners closely with executive leadership to support organizational growth, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain operational excellence across HR systems, payroll, benefits, and employee programs. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership capability, sound judgment, and the ability to balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with executive leadership to support workforce planning, organizational design, and overall people strategy.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and programs that scale with company growth.
  • Lead compliance efforts across multiple states, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Manage employee relations, investigations, documentation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
  • Perform and manage benefits reconciliation, including payroll deductions, vendor billing, and funding alignment.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure accurate general ledger coding, accrual tracking, and financial reporting related to HR functions.
  • Oversee payroll processes and ensure financial accuracy prior to submission.
  • Leverage data analytics and reporting to improve HR operations and decision-making.
  • Evaluate and implement technology solutions, including AI tools, to enhance HR efficiency and scalability.
  • Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning processes.
  • Support implementation and optimization of the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Develop and support employee engagement, retention, and recognition initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and support HR team members and manage external vendors as needed.
  • Promote a positive, compliant, and high-performance workplace culture aligned with company values.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership responsibility.
  • Experience working in a growing organization (100+ employees preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing HRIS, payroll systems, and benefits administration.
  • Experience performing benefits reconciliation and working with payroll-related financial processes.
  • Working knowledge of accounting concepts related to payroll, accruals, invoicing, and general ledger alignment.
  • Experience implementing or managing a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Familiarity with AI tools and their application within HR operations is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Pre-employment drug test, background check, and valid driver’s license required.
