Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES for Cook include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Specific task list will be assigned.

  • Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment. Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
  • Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
  • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
  • Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment.
  • Prepares item for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating.
  • Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED for Cook :

  • High school diploma or general education degree (DEG); or 1- 3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
  • Culinary education, a plus.
  • Current ServSafe certification, high desired.
  • Ability to speak and comprehend English, required.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move above 50 pounds with the assistance from a co-worker and/or mechanical means.
  • Full vaccinated for COVID-19, strongly preferred.

Ideal candidate will be available to work nights and weekends. Preferred schedule will be Thursday - Monday. Friday + Saturday PM (11:30am - 8pm) and Thursday, Sunday, and Monday AM shift (6am - 2:30pm).

We offer a $250 sign-on bonus PLUS a $600 retention bonus after completing a successful 6 months of employment!
