Position Overview

MTB Mechanical is seeking a skilled and motivated Residential New Construction HVAC Technician to join our growing team. This role is responsible for installing HVAC systems in new residential builds while ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install complete HVAC systems in new residential construction projects (ductwork, equipment, ventilation, etc.)
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
• Ensure all installations meet local codes, manufacturer specifications, and company standards
• Work closely with builders, contractors, and internal teams to meet construction timelines
• Perform system startups and basic testing to confirm proper operation
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Identify and communicate any installation challenges or discrepancies
• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of HVAC installation experience (residential new construction preferred)
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems, duct design, and installation practices
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various conditions (attics, crawl spaces, outdoors)

Preferred Qualifications

• EPA Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience working with production home builders
• Knowledge of local building codes and HVAC regulations
