Job Description

Lantana Recovery was founded by individuals in long-term recovery from substance use disorders with a vision to provide an alternative to traditional addiction treatment models. The organization offers customized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, educational, and vocational needs of each client. Lantana Recovery emphasizes innovative and personalized treatment experiences rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. The programs are designed to support clients as they work toward meaningful and lasting recovery.

General Responsibilities:

The Recovery Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Lantana Recovery by ensuring reliable transportation for clients while also fostering a safe and welcoming treatment environment. This entry-level position offers exposure to the behavioral health field and serves as a potential pathway into clinical support roles such as Recovery Manager.

Responsibilities include:

Client Transportation:

  • Safely transport clients to and from Lantana Recovery programming, meetings, ancillary appointments and community partners using company-provided vehicles
  • Maintain an organized and timely transportation schedule in coordination with the front office
  • Complete vehicle safety checks and report any maintenance needs promptly
  • Ensure client safety and uphold behavioral expectations during transport

Program Support:

  • Assist with basic milieu management tasks (e.g., room checks, common area monitoring) after client drop-offs
  • Provide light engagement and support to clients during pick-up and wait times
  • Maintain and review a shift report to ensure continuity of information across staff and shifts
  • Support administrative or operational tasks as directed by leadership
  • Maintain documentation of client interactions or incidents as required

Onsite Housing responsibilities:

  • General oversight of the daily operation of the sober living house
  • Facilitate weekly house meetings
  • Transportation to meetings/activities

Qualifications include:

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries while building rapport with clients
  • Comfortable working with individuals in early recovery
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to manage schedules independently
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Opportunities for Growth:

This role is designed as a workforce entry point into behavioral healthcare. With strong performance and training, Recovery Assistants may be considered for internal promotion into Recovery Manager or other clinical support roles as openings arise.

Work Schedule:

  • Variable shifts based on transportation needs (early morning, midday, or evening blocks)

Job Type:  Full Time
