We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to join our team at a Critical Access Hospital serving rural communities. You will have the opportunity to work in a close-knit, interdisciplinary environment where your contributions directly impact patient recovery and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement occupational therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist, with a focus on functional goals.

  • Provide therapeutic interventions for patients in acute inpatient, swing bed, and outpatient settings as needed.

  • Facilitate rehabilitation for patients recovering from orthopedic surgery, stroke, respiratory illnesses, generalized weakness, and other conditions.

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), adaptive equipment training, and home safety education.

  • Document patient progress, responses, and outcomes accurately in the EMR, in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.

  • Collaborate with nursing, physical therapy, social work, and other team members to support comprehensive patient care.

  • Educate patients and family members on home programs and care techniques to support a safe transition from the hospital.

  • Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in team meetings and case conferences.

  • Adhere to all safety, infection control, and confidentiality protocols.

    • CPR/BLS certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire).

    • New graduates with strong clinical experience in similar settings are welcome to apply.
