These are on-call, as needed positions to fill in for our regular school nurses in their absence. There is no guarantee of hours with these positions.

Duties for regular nurses that would require coverage include but are not limited to:

1. Provide care for illness and injury to students and staff according to established protocols as necessary.
2. Provide nursing care as outlined by the individualized health plans for students with chronic health concerns.
3. May administer first aid, handle emergencies and handle triage.
4. Administers medications and oversees diabetic student needs as directed by the individual student health plans.
5. Maintains daily log of student and staff visits to the health office.
6. Other duties as assigned by district/building administration.
