Job Description

If you like working with precision equipment, care about quality craftsmanship, and enjoy seeing parts come together exactly the way they should, this role is for you. As a Robot Operator, you’ll run our welding robot cells and play a key role in producing high-quality assemblies that meet THI standards every time.

This is hands-on work where your attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and pride in quality truly matter.


What You’ll Do

  • Operate welding robot cells to produce quality welds efficiently and consistently

  • Verify parts meet print dimensions before loading into the robot cell

  • Clean and prep parts and weld joints prior to welding

  • Load parts correctly, ensuring proper orientation and rotation per the print

  • Partner with the Lead for first-part inspections

  • Inspect finished assemblies using the assembly control plan to ensure print compliance

  • Identify and segregate non-conforming parts and ensure NCRs are issued when needed

  • Share ideas for process or equipment improvements with Leads and Foremen


What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED or at least 2 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to read and understand safety rules, work instructions, prints, and procedures

  • Basic math skills, including percentages, measurements, and dimensions

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with limited supervision

  • Willingness to work toward passing the THI Certified Welder Entry Test


Work Environment

  • Manufacturing setting with exposure to heat, fumes, and airborne particles

  • Moderate noise levels typical of a welding environment

  • Safety-focused culture with defined quality and inspection standards


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds

  • Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, and use of hands

  • Occasional climbing, balancing, crouching, or kneeling

  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
