Responsibilities

The Assistant Nurse Manager, Inpatient Oncology, assumes 24-hour accountability and responsibility for the operation of the assigned unit. He/she combines clinical expertise with the application of leadership and nursing management principles to deliver high quality, cost-effective patient care and ensure satisfaction to both internal and external customers.


Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school. Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Must possess 5 years of experience in a similar setting/unit.
  • Evidence of progressive leadership responsibilities.
  • Current and maintained clinical skills and knowledge to provide direct care for a caseload of patients as required.
  • Assumes administrative responsibilities in the absence of the nurse manager and provides coverage for other colleagues.

Salary Information

Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
