Your role

As ENG/EFP Camera Operator, you will operate portable mobile ENG cameras, audio equipment as well as peripherals to develop and conceive videography and visual effects via framing and original camera shots. You will require insight, meeting and anticipating the program's desired objectives as well as artistic, dramatic and other intentions. You will also be responsible for coordinating the installation and verification of the equipment under your control as well as the transfer and editing of the collected material. You will be primarily assigned to the Moncton newsroom.

 

Please note that our team works on variable shifts that can be scheduled throughout the week and on weekends. This is an on call position.

This role requires full-time on-site presence.

We are looking for a candidate with the following: 

 

Qualifications:

  • College Diploma in Television Production and Postproduction Techniques or any relevant diploma

  • Minimum two (2) years' experience in the TV production and/or filming programs, news and/or remote broadcast

 

Skills: 

  • Filming and digital production experience

  • Very good non linear editing experience (Avid an asset)

  • Demonstrated knowledge in editing, audio, lighting, camera work, and computers

  • Excellent command of spoken and written French

  • Good knowledge of English, an asset

  • Able to work effectively on a team

  • Creativity and self-starter

  • Able to make quick, independent decisions

  • Knowledge of, and interest in current events in the region

  • Valid driver’s license, as well as a driving record that meets the criteria of CBC/Radio-Canada’s insurer

  • Available to travel during working hours
