As a YMCA Member Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for current and prospective members. You will provide excellent customer service, assist with membership inquiries, and support various administrative tasks to ensure a positive member experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome members, guests, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide information about YMCA programs, services, and membership options.
- Assist members with inquiries, registration, and resolving issues.
- Promote YMCA membership benefits and programs to prospective members.
- Conduct membership tours and orientation sessions.
- Assist with membership sales and renewals.
- Process membership applications, cancellations, and changes.
- Handle cash transactions, including membership fees and program payments.
- Maintain accurate records and member information in the database.
- Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Monitor access to the facility, ensuring that only authorized members and guests enter.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate staff.
- Work collaboratively with other YMCA staff to support overall member experience.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to improving member services.
- Assist with special events and community outreach as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must be minimum 16yrs of age.
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within the first 30 days of employment).
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Experience working in a community-focused organization or membership-based facility preferred.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations with professionalism.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with member management software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
