Requirements:
- Knowing how to read a production drawing and an electrical plan
- Know how to use a computer to do the required work
- Have the physical ability to carry and handle loads manually
- Know how to use a tape measure
- Knowing how to read
- Know how to use an overhead crane
- Good manual dexterity
- Basic electrical training (given in-house after 3 months on the job)
- Know how to recognize the right parts with the right certification (CSA/UL)
- Ability to learn and ability to work in a team
Main activities:
- Install various types of wiring, LEDs with power supplies in signs (S/F), and/or any other product if necessary.
- Check electrical circuits: Perform the necessary electrical tests according to the required standards.
- Perform data entry and/or follow-ups on the computer as required.
- Apply labels according to the required standards, for example:
- Quality Control
- CSA/UL
- Amperage
- Rental (if required)
- Use the overhead crane to move larger parts and/or signs.
- Install various types of wiring, power supplies in signs (D/F, pylon, directional, etc.) such as LED wiring, Novyc system, Daktronic system, and/or any other possible product.
- Install various types of plastic or different types of moulding on the sign box (S/F, D/F, directional (Frame ABS), individual letter assembly and/or any other possible product
- Assemble aluminum strips to make the case.
- Assemble CCG Tapes, Park Canada Tapes.
- Make the flex frame and finish.
- Glue aluminum faces to frames (e.g., RBC - cut sheet metal, assemble box, do electrical assembly) and/or any other product that may occur.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by his/her immediate supervisor.
