The Encinitas Union School District (EUSD) is seeking credentialed Music Teachers who are passionate about building strong, standards-based music programs and inspiring a lifelong appreciation for the arts in students. We are excited to welcome two dedicated Music Teachers to our Enrichment Program, where they will serve K–6 students through a dynamic enrichment wheel rotation model.

This role is ideal for educators with a Music credential and a strong background in music education who are eager to create engaging, inclusive learning environments where students explore rhythm, melody, movement, and expression, while also building confidence, collaboration, and creativity. Curriculum and collaboration opportunities with other Music Teachers provided. At EUSD, our Enrichment Program is an essential part of the student experience, and our Music Teachers play a vital role in bringing our vision by igniting the limitless potential of all learners.

Each Music Teacher will serve at two school sites over the course of the school year:
One position: Flora Vista Elementary (Fall) and Ocean Knoll Elementary (Spring)
One position: La Costa Heights Elementary (Fall) and Olivenhain Pioneer Elementary (Spring)

Compensation:
Salary placement is based on experience, with credit given for up to 10 years of prior teaching. In addition, Music Teacher positions are scheduled to transition to a 185-day work calendar and will be compensated on the certificated salary schedule beginning in the 2027–2028 school year, providing a clear pathway for professional growth and long-term alignment with certificated roles.

The Encinitas Union School District (EUSD) is located in the North San Diego County along the coast. It serves nine (9) Kindergarten through sixth grade schools.

The weekly work schedule for this position is 7:30am-3:00pm, Monday through Friday.

The selection process will include application screening, pre-interview reference checks, a performance task, and a panel interview. Panel interviews for selected candidates are scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, 2026. All required application materials must be submitted and complete in order to be considered.

Additional stipend available:
$1,000 for Masters Degree

Applicants will have the opportunity to clear their teaching credential at no cost through the district offered Teacher Induction Program.

Successful candidates will be required to pass fingerprint background check, physical and drug screen and provide negative Tuberculin Skin Test result prior to working in Encinitas Union School District. TB test at applicant's expense. Fingerprinting/physical/drug screen paid by EUSD. An original Social Security Card is required at the time of hire.
