Position Summary:

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Lean Fabrication /Upfitter Technician! 

 

Compensation: $25-$35/hour; determined on experience.  Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! 

 

1st Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

What the Lead Fabrication Technician role looks like:

 

  • Install emergency vehicle equipment including:
    • Lightbars, warning lights, and sirens
    • Radio and communication systems
    • Consoles, partitions, gun racks, push bumpers, and storage systems
    • Cameras, MDT mounts, printers, and auxiliary electronics
  • Perform 12V electrical wiring, circuit routing, and component mounting
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and installation instructions
  • Drill, cut, mount, and fabricate parts as needed for vehicle upfitting
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical installation issues
  • Test all installed equipment to ensure proper operation and safety compliance
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and installation materials
  • Complete work orders, installation checklists, and documentation accurately
  • Follow company safety procedures and manufacturer installation standards
  • Work with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and quality expectations

Working Conditions:

 

  • Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
  • Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.
  • Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
  • Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
  • Ability to move and position heavy objects
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
