Description
JOB PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES
- Ascertaining service problems and services by listening to customer’s description of symptoms, clarifying description of problems, conducting inspections, taking test drives, checking vehicle maintenance records, and examining service schedules.
- Performing proficient repairs on equipment (compact construction equipment, mowers, and tractors) on-site at the customer facility or at Cornerstone Equipment.
- Performing PDI and PM inspections and repairs on equipment for the Sales and Service teams.
- Occasionally running breakdowns for customers as needed.
- Pickup / Deliver Customer equipment for service or sales.
- Working with team members and customers in the resolution of disputes and opportunities
- Protect organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Promoting long-term customer satisfaction.
- Professional development through attendance at seminars, training courses, etc.
- Involvement in open houses, info-seminars, trade shows and other customer related programs.
- Work closely with other departments within the organization to resolve customer problems.

Requirements
All technicians/mechanics will be evaluated by billable hours, repairs proficiency, customer service level and PM completion rates. Measurables are not limited to these categories. All employees are required to follow their employee handbook and subject to the consequences of not doing so. Potential employees will be required to pass a drug test before being hired and are subject to random drug testing throughout their employment.
All service techs must possess the following:
-High school diploma with at least two years of additional schooling/training in field
-At least two years of experience construction / agriculture equipment service/repair or at least two years of equivalent applicable training.
-Their own tools (We will provide specialty tools, etc.)
-A valid driver's license
-A cell phone
-Good communication and written skills; must be able to communicate well with the service manager, parts manager, salespersons and customers.
-A positive attitude and good teammate.
-Desire to acquire knowledge of the field every day in order to be better every day.
-Able to work 40 hours/ week, Monday-Friday: any time from 7:00am-6:00pm
