Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Automation QA Engineer with 5–8 years of experience in software testing and automation. The ideal candidate will possess strong programming expertise in Java and JavaScript, hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks, and a solid understanding of QA methodologies. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automated test solutions to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automation test frameworks.
  • Create and execute automated test scripts for web, API, and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Analyse test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution.
  • Enhance and optimize existing automation frameworks for performance and maintainability.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices in test automation.
  • Maintain comprehensive test documentation and reports.

Technical Skills

  • Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Java and JavaScript.
  • Automation Frameworks:
    • Java: Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit, Cucumber (BDD).
    • JavaScript: Cypress, Playwright, WebdriverIO, or Protractor.
  • API Testing: Experience with RESTful services using tools like RestAssured, Postman.
  • CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitHub
  • Database Testing: Basic knowledge of SQL.
  • Cross-Browser & Cross-Platform Testing: Experience with tools like BrowserStack.

Testing Expertise

  • Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle and Bug Life Cycle.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with performance and security testing is a plus.
